London Land’s application for 1 Westmoreland Road (Site K in 2010 Local Plan)

No sign of the Protected View being preserved in this scheme.

London Land acquired the site in early 2022, and have drawn up “exciting” plans to develop the site. The proposals are for 3 clusters of high-rise blocks, with a 10 storey block on the corner (in the middle of the protected view)

The boards in the Pre-Application exhibition talk about re-using the design elements from the Conservation Area. They are conspicuously absent in these proposals. The green roof doesn’t look like triffids storming the barricades at all.
